JinXi Machinery Plant is one of the specified factory which produces railroad wagon and axle in China . The import GFM radial precision forging machine (500T ) is used for axle manufacture . For heat treatment suspended vertically electrical furnaces is used . The axle is turned on a CNC lathe and ultrasonic inspection will precede by end milling and centering . Axle type RD2 got the national silver medal in 1988. The quality assurance system was approved by AAR in 1991.Chinese Railroad Ministry assigned Jinxi Machinery Plant to produce 50# steel axle in 1996.
