CCD chip
The 2,560 x 1,944-pixel Sony ICX282 CCD chip used in the MC50 offers 12 bits per color channel and can be used for variable exposure times between 1.6 ms and 17.9 min with the help of Peltier cooling. These features, along with the high sensitivity, color fidelity, superior contrast and extraordinary signal-to-noise ratio make the MC50 a great universal high-resolution CCD color camera.
Interface
The MC50 makes a great addition to any microscopy system not only because of its great features, but also since it is easy to integrate using a standard C-mount adaptor to connect to the microscope and the high-speed data transfer and power capabilities of the USB2.0 interface.
Software
The camera can be fully operated using the Mshot Image processing Software, which offers a host of image processing, storage, preview and measurement functions.
