Ilkal Sarees/Dressmaterials are well known indian ethnic fabric which are popular in the country side. But with waning handloom sector, these have become a rare commodity and hence very fashionable & hip. This fabric can be used in fusion styles for stitching, kurtas, tops or even furnishings. KASUTI is a dying art-form practiced by a few surviving skilled artisans who do it fortheir livelihood. As this is a traditional art, the motifs consist of temples, palenquins, animals & flowers. But as its make up is geometric, any modern time motifs can also be derived. This embroidery form can be creatively used on traditional, work=place or casual wear with or without using other embellishments.
