Diesel Flat Die Wood Pellet Mill Working Process
Diesel wood pellet mill working principle is similar to the electric type flat die wood pellet mill. It is composed of a foundation base, a diesel engine and a pelletizing chamber. And the core components in the pelletizing chamber are the rotating roller and the aptotic die.
1.Accessible and suitable raw materials for pelletizing. Dead leaves, sawdust, straw, bagasse or dry grass around your home or farm for biomass pellet making. Note: If materials are large blocks such as wood chips, twigs or branches, they need to be crushed by a crusher or hammer mill before pelletizing.
2.Adjust the moisture content of raw materials. The best moisture content for making biomass pellet is 10%-18%. You can dry raw materials in the sun to get suitable water content. If there are too much moisture, a dryer is needed to decrease its moisture content. Otherwise the biomass will block pellet die holes and cause low forming rate.
3.Feed materials into the homemade pellet mill. By the compression between the flat die and rollers, raw materials squeeze through holes on the pellet die. Then final pellets will fall out of the pellet mill.
4.Leave pellets to cool naturally and then pack them in bags for storage.
