STERN TUBE SEALS

Engtek is the Vietnam agent for Kobelco Eagle stern tube seal. This compact water lubricated seal has superb vibration resistance and high sealing performance. It possesses various characteristics that make it advantageous for use: • Unique design of seal ensures no wear of the shaft sleeve. • “Eagle Paint” on shaft sleeve surface prevents corrosion. • Proper positioning of rings of the seal allows easy inspection and replacement of the seal ring, even if the vessel is in the water, and without removing the shaft. • Daily maintenance not needed as lubrication is by sea water passing through the seal ring notches.
