The Earthquake Simulation System consists of the earthquake simulation motion platform, the earthquake simulation scene, voice introduction and operation control module. These four parts work together to show what happens in the earthquake. Earthquake Motion Platform The earthquake simulation motion platform is developed to simulate the earthquake based our experience and knowledge of aerospace simulation technologies, the platform can simulate the longitudinal wave and transverse wave of earthquake, can simulate the 3 -8 magnitude earthquake. The longitudinal wave spread velocity is 5 - 6 km per second, can cause the ground to beat up and down; the transverse wave is slower, its spread velocity is 3 - 4 kilometers per second, can cause the ground shake the ground level. Because the longitudinal wave weakens fast, people that are away from the seismic center can only feel the horizontal shake. In general, during the earthquake the ground always jumps up and down first, then shake the ground level. The earthquake simulation motion platform simulates the vertical and horizontal movement of "longitudinal wave" and "transverse wave" according to the earthquake magnitude, and creates the ground movement phenomenon of the earthquake. Earthquake Simulation Scene The earthquake simulation scene on the motion platform, in general, is the study, classroom, living room, bedroom, restaurant or kitchen. When the earthquake occurs, the simulator simulates the phenomena in different magnitude earthquake. For example, in magnitude 8 earthquake, the earthquake simulator shakes, it is hard for most people to stand firmly and walk, the tables, chairs, lamps, books and other household facilities shake dramatically, the furniture clashes with loud sound, the books on the shelf fall to the ground, tables, chairs and other furniture move, even fall. Voice Introduction The Voice Introduction introduces earthquake knowledge and escape instructions when the passengers experience the earthquake in the room. For example, in magnitude 8 earthquake simulation, the voice introduces the features of this earthquake magnitude, what phenomena takes place in the room, what actions should be taken to save our lives and to help others, how to avoid more casualties. The Voice Introduction could be available in different languages, the client should offer the voice file. Operation Control Module Operation Control Module is the nerve center of the earthquake simulation system, and it receives the earthquake magnitude instruction from the operator, and sends the instruction to the motion platform and the voice introduction modules. The control module has two modes: one is the manual mode, the operator selects magnitude 3-8 earthquake to simulate; the other is auto mode, if the operator selects this mode, then the system will simulate the earthquake from magnitude 3 to 8 one by one.
